After several years of collaboration with the City of Lee’s Summit and residents of the New Longview area, Sunflower Development Group initiated a historic rehabilitation of the 102-year-old mansion. This project addressed longstanding structural, roofing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, while also providing the property with a subtle facelift.
Work commenced in early 2018 to restore the Longview Mansion as a premier event venue in the Kansas City area, with completion in the fall of 2018. The rehabilitation was spearheaded by Rau Construction Company, an Overland Park-based general contractor, and Rosemann & Associates, PC, a Kansas City architecture and design firm.
